Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), where you will meet Kili World Born Safaris’ representative, and transfer to your hotel in Moshi town. The hotel will provide all the essentials for a classic stay: cozy rooms, hot water, polite staff, a swimming pool, and Internet access. In the morning there will be a briefing with our guides, who will also make sure you are ready to begin the cycling tour.

Your adventure starts in Moshi, cycling west with Mount Kilimanjaro watching over you. The route takes you through Chagga villages, past banana groves, coffee farms, and patches of lush forest.

As you pedal further west, the scenery opens into wide Maasai plains. You’ll ride over a mix of tarmac and gravel, with gentle hills along the way. By the time you arrive at Olpopongi Maasai Cultural Village, you’ll feel the change in landscape and culture, with a chance to meet the Maasai people and enjoy the local wildlife.

Today, you start cycling from Olpopongi Maasai Cultural Village toward Arusha. The first highlight is Arusha

National Park, where you’ll cycle through scenic trails surrounded by savannah, forest, and crater lakes, spotting

wildlife like giraffes, zebras, and buffalo along the way.

After your park adventure, you continue your ride into Arusha, enjoying views of the rolling plains and local villages. The day ends at African View Lodge, where you can relax and reflect on two days of unforgettable cycling and cultural experiences.

After breakfast, you’ll begin a more relaxed ride heading west toward the Great Rift Valley landscapes.

The scenery transitions from lush greenery into semi-arid terrain dotted with acacia trees and Maasai homesteads. Along the way, you’ll experience authentic rural Tanzania — from livestock herding to local village life.

Arriving at Meserani Snake Park, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the reptile center and learn about Tanzania’s snake species. Optional cultural interactions with nearby Maasai communities add depth to the experience.

Today’s ride takes you deeper into Maasai land as you journey toward the Tarangire ecosystem.

Arriving near Tarangire National Park, you’ll settle into your lodge surrounded by natural beauty.

Today, you swap your bike for a classic safari experience.

After an early breakfast, you’ll head into Tarangire National Park in a 4x4 safari vehicle. This park is famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and the life-giving Tarangire River.

As you explore, you may encounter lions resting in the shade, giraffes browsing treetops, zebras and wildebeests grazing, and a wide variety of birdlife. The park’s quieter atmosphere offers a more intimate safari experience compared to other parks.

A picnic lunch will be enjoyed inside the park, surrounded by nature, before continuing your game drive in the afternoon.

After breakfast, you’ll begin cycling toward the Great Rift Valley, one of Africa’s most impressive geological features.

The ride takes you through wildlife corridors and Maasai lands, where you may see pastoral life in motion — herders guiding cattle across open plains.

As you descend toward Mto wa Mbu, the scenery becomes greener and more vibrant, with views of Lake Manyara and surrounding escarpments.

You’ll arrive by early afternoon, giving you time to relax or explore the lively village, known for its cultural diversity and local markets.

Your final cycling day is both rewarding and symbolic.

You’ll ride toward the entrance of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, gradually gaining elevation as the landscape shifts into lush highlands.

Afterward, you’ll transfer to Karatu, a charming town in the Ngorongoro Highlands, where you can relax, enjoy a hot shower, and unwind in comfort.

An early start takes you into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as Africa’s “Garden of Eden.”

Descending into the crater, you’ll find one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa. Expect to see lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, and — with luck — the rare black rhino.

The crater’s unique ecosystem creates a spectacular setting for wildlife viewing, all within a natural volcanic enclosure.

After a picnic lunch inside the crater, you’ll continue your game drive before returning to Arusha in the evening.
